I still think it is extremely lame to get engaged on or while celebrating a holiday. These are probably the same type of people that put place settings on their registry and and do everything else a stereotypical wedding/engagement is just for the sake of conformity, lack of originality, and because all of their friends did the same thing. That last sentence was probably a run on, but you get my point.
